Ahead of the Thanksgiving break, students from various elementary schools throughout the district attended a special outing at Sabino High School — a Mark Wood concert. Joined by the Sabino Orchestra, Mark Wood gave a preview of what to expect at his Electrify Your Strings Concert on Dec. 9, 7-9 p.m., also at Sabino High School. He will be joined by middle school and high school orchestras.

School Photos - Football Home Opener

Friday night lights got a big upgrade at Sabino High School. The Sabercats hosted their home opener against the Dysart Demons on their brand new turf field, designed for top safety and consistent performance in every season. The game also marked the debut of the school’s new stadium lighting system, which reduces light pollution for the surrounding neighborhood while still shining bright for athletes and fans.

Before kickoff, Sabino recognized the Tucson Unified staff and partner organizations who helped make the project possible. Thanks to their teamwork and vision, Sabino athletes now have a modern, safe, and sustainable field to call home.
